Based on what you know about figurative language, which type of figurative language (simile, metaphor, personification, or hyperbole) do you use, see, hear most often? Justify your choice.

I hear similes most often because when the speaker is talking about something he/she may use a simile to draw the listeners imagination to the point of view or understand the concept the speaker is saying.

I hear Metaphors, Similes, Hyperboles, ect... all of the time. I hear Hyperboles the most though. A lot of my friends and even me might say on a cold day "" IT'S LIKE MINUS 20 OUTSIDE!!!!!'' when it might only be five degrees. I also hear some people say a lot '' That test was beyond hard'' when it might only be hard but not beyond hard. Hyperboles are deffinitly the thing I hear most from people.

simile. because I hear my grandparents also see them using it alot explaing every thing sence they `re country.so when say anything to them they ask me how im doing in school and i say good ,then they your smart as a your motherboy.

-Shaniece- I would say a simile. I would say a simile because not only do people use it in the real world we use it here in scholl too. Also in my opinion it is the most easiest of the figurative language.
The type of figurative language i mostly use and see people use is simile,because when people try to create a vivid picture they use simile like My uncle is tall like a tree they saying my uncle is very tall.A Simile is a comparison of two unlike things using like or as.

The kind of figurative language that I hear, use, and see most often are similes. I say this because they really help someone to explain something, and even if you don't know what a simile is, most people use them anyways without even realizing it!:)

I think that people most use hyperboles because especially kids our age like to exaggerate a lot. For example someone...including me...might say "Wow I have about 10,000 pages of homework tonight" when you really don't have that much work to do. Authors you hyperboles a lot to emphasize an amount or show how much there is of something. A common hyperbole that author's use is it's raining cats and dogs and it means that it is raining really hard.

The kind of figurative language I use,see,hear most often is similes because most people like to compare two things but most of the time, they don't know they're using it. Using similes helps you when you're trying to compare 2 things.

i hear smilies every where i go.people compare diffrent thing .i also use simile when i talk to my friends out of school. i like using similes they can make alot of sence when u use them the correct way.also people will always rember comparing two thing makes the diffrence instead of say the cat and the dog are big u could say the cat is a big as a dog.

Throughout ther usage of human language, I have aquired the sense that hyperboles are used quite multitaniously. Espeically those of adolecent age, who tend to naturally overact in their expressions.For example, a simple, regular Syracusan snow storm experience someone might say it was "the coldest weather EVER".Compared to others excursions of cold westher of the world, this is nothing at all, resulting in a hyperbole

I hear Similes most often because people who usually say them don't realize it! Hyperboles are also what I usually hear, too. A Hyperbole is a part of figurative language that exaggerates something. I head hyperbole most often. In a lot of advertisement. They use hyperbole to make their products look better or at least seem better. Even my parents used it on me for example they said,"Your pile of cloths is as tall as Mount Everest." They did not mean literally, it was more of a sarcastic and extreme exaggeration.

I hear similes most often because when I read books the author uses similes to make it interesting and they try to create a picture in the readers mind and when people talk to you they sometimes use similes so that you would underatand how (big,small,pretty,etc.)the thing was like.
