Upcoming Quiz

This is a reminder that all seventh grade students will be taking a quiz on figurative language next Thursday, February 3rd. Students will need to explain the purpose of figurative language, define figurative language terms, create their own examples of figurative language, and analyze examples of figurative language.

Second Installment of 25-Book Assignment

All seventh grade students are reminded that their second installment of the 25-book assignment is due by the end of the day on Monday, Janaury 10th, 2011. Students need to create summary activities for four books since each student's Literature Circle book counts for two books this marking period.

Literature Circle Projects

This is the last week students will be working in Literature Circles. Students will complete a culminating project demonstrating their knowledge of their book. Students can choose one of the following projects:
  • ABC BOOK
  • PAPER BAG BOOK REPORT
  • NEWSPAPER
Students have in-depth directions for the projects which are due on Tuesday, January 18th, 2011.
